About the Business
The name Bahia is linked to Indian heritage, it is the surname of the founder of the School Jasmin Bahia. In both Spanish and Portuguese languages the literal translation is that Bahia means bay. Bahia Yoga opened in 2003, offering traditional Hatha Yoga and classical Meditation classes. Our Director, Jasmin has been teaching in the wellbeing field since 2000, and Jake our Meditation Teacher began teaching Philosophy in 2002 and Meditation since 2007. We've been running Yoga Teacher Trainings in Nottingham since 2011.
Our tutors on the teacher training programmes have taught throughout the UK and internationally. In October 2014 we began our Yoga Teacher Trainings in Spain. Our Yoga classes and UK Teacher Trainings are held at our delightful studio space in the Hockley, LaceMarket area in Nottingham City Centre. The full-time studio runs daily Yoga classes in Nottingham and are accessible to everyone.
