About the Business
Emma’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon workshop explores an accessible asana sequence focusing on spinal rotation and extension. The asana practice includes a creative approach to movement incorporating circular and spiralling motion as a medium for releasing deep tension in the muscular and mind systems. Variations of Vyagrasana (Tiger pose) along with Flying Dragon pose will form the foundation for the sequence of the practice.
The entire cosmos is a matrix of circular and spiral forms; the entire human structure is also comprised of circular and spiral formations. In this workshop you are invited to:
- Move away from straight line alignments and explore the natural shape and form of the spiral that is found in every natural structure;
- Move through time and space with total conscious awareness of the infinite nature of the circle-spiral in the movement process;
- Set free tensions and release negative movement patterns, freeing up body, mind and spirit;
Mudra, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra will help to create a deep pool of tranquillity for reflection, healing and relaxation. Come along and join us – this session is accessible for all levels of practice.
