About the Business
16 years ago I was advised to take up Yoga by a doctor after a difficult time of anxiety, stress, depression and panic attacks. I bought a book and started practising at home, it totally dragged me in, I loved how it made me feel. I began with teachers and classes in and around York, workshops practising mainly Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. I decided to go back to college and train as a Holistic Therapist, I completed courses in Swedish Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Crystal Therapy, and I am also Reiki attuned to level 2. I began working from York Urban Retreat and mobile but still I was drawn to teach my passion of Yoga.
A friend told me to try the Dru taster day and I loved it! I signed up there and then to train in the Dru style as I liked the format and loved the inner stillness and the spiritual and energy focus of Dru and have been practising ever since. I continued my Yoga journey and in 2009 Yoga for You was born. It is my passion, I live and breathe it.
