About the Business

Damn right it's not easy! A yoga practice takes time and dedication. There's a lot of hardwork and sweat that goes into an Ashtanga practice but what you get out at the end of a class is worth every last bit of effort and commitment. Ashtanga is a flowing practise of yoga, a set series of poses where movement is synchronized with the breath. The steady cycle of inhales and exhales provides the practitioner with a calming, mental focal point. Additionally, movement and Ujjayi (yogic breathing) together create internal heat, which leads to purification of the body through increased circulation and sweating.

Every class will begin with Sun Salutations, followed by a standing sequence of poses, followed by a seated sequence, back bends and inversions, and finishing in relaxation which leaves a truly blissed out state. Ashtanga is not for the faint hearted and although challenging, it's very rewarding.
